About Hugo Almeida
I'm a Computer Engineering student at ISEP, a freelance full-stack developer and IT Infrastructure Coordinator at NEI-ISEP. My strongest interests are backend development, automation, Linux and infrastructure, and I enjoy turning that technical depth into complete web products.
Through my studio, I work with businesses that need a website, a custom application or support connecting and deploying systems. I prefer a direct relationship: understand the goal, design the solution, build it and make sure it can run after launch.

Web development internships, event platform engineering and technical coordination inform how I approach freelance projects.
Linux administration, Docker services, deployments, CI/CD, databases, authentication, troubleshooting and contributions to student-facing applications.
Full-stack work on an event platform, including ticket selection, back-office features, databases and service integration.
Developed a sensor-management web platform with interactive maps, searchable readings, sensor grouping and scheduled CSV/JSON exports using PHP, MySQL and JavaScript.
Worked on an early SaaS prototype for cybersecurity awareness and employee training, combining web management tools with Unity interactive experiences.
Principles
Understand the business problem and the people using the product.
Make the interface clear and the backend dependable.
Pick the technology that fits the work, not the other way around.
Build for maintainability, deployment and future change.
How I work
Clear scope, maintainable code, useful integrations and careful delivery, whether the project is a small website or a backend-heavy application.
Discuss the goal, users, existing tools and constraints; agree on a realistic scope before implementation.
Develop the UI, backend, data model and integrations needed for the product, with clear responsibilities and testable behavior.
Prepare deployment and maintenance, with documentation and checks appropriate to the project.
Toolkit
These tools come from internships, organizational work, studies and personal projects; the list is not a claim of equal experience in every technology.
Location
I'm based in the Porto / Vila Nova de Gaia area, Portugal. I work remotely and am open to collaborations on websites, applications, APIs, integrations and automation.
